WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

Are you looking for a way to get connected to other people in our church? If you want to grow in your relationship with Jesus and take next steps, you absolutely need people surrounding you to encourage you, challenge you, and be there for you.

Life Groups are relationship-centric and an ideal Next Step if you’ve decided to plant roots at Oasis Church and you know you’re ready to invest in deeper relational connections and community.

Life Groups are an essential part of our Oasis Community – it helps us grow in our relationship with God and one-another, and is the primary means of discipleship and deeper teaching.

WE BELIEVE YOU CAN’T DO LIFE ALONE

Life Groups are about engaging in meaningful relationships by doing life together. Our desire is that groups are fun, interactive and beneficial to all who attend. It’s about having a safe space to learn, discuss, and pray together on our discipleship journey.

We want you to have a place where you are loved, nurtured  and supported by one another, and a place to encourage one another on this mission we find ourselves on as followers of Jesus.

We believe that it is in the context of Life Groups that genuine community and growth begins to happen.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Life Groups are all about people taking next steps together. Our groups will meet every week for a set period of time. This means that groups will run in segments throughout the year, so there is time in between to relax and also engage in other events that will come up within the church calendar.

In order to make it simple for leaders to run a Life Group, the church provides the Rightnow Media resource. A typical evening will consist of arrival, refreshments, welcome and prayer, watching a short teaching video, and then some discussion around the subject matter. Finally the meeting will end with prayer, including any prayer points that arise from the session. The goal is to learn together, and the beauty of using the resource is that you can rewatch on your own time, and also catch up if you miss a weeks session.

If you would like to join a Life Group, we have a number of times and locations available. The details for each one, and when they’ll run are below, and you can choose which one you’d like to sign up for. There are some introductory sessions taking place for the new evening groups on 20/21 October. Please refer to the details for each group below.
